First and foremost, this remastered DVD, presented in its original full-screen format and mono audio, looks and sounds fantastic. The commentary, by Bogart biographer Eric Lax, is very informative. This is a commentator who really knows a lot about Bogart and it comes across in this track. Extra nuggets to be found in this set include two detailed documentaries: Discovering Treasure, a new Warner Brothers documentary on the film, and John Huston: The Man, the Movies, the Maverick (1989), a wonderfully exhaustive documentary of the Hollywood legend. Two other nice additions are the Lux Theatre radio broadcast of "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" and the Looney Tunes' "8 Ball Bunny" costarring Bugs and Bogart.
