John Brooks Walton showcased over five hundred various historic houses, their architecture, and their owners in his nine previous books on architecture and art. In 1999, Walton wrote his first book about Tulsa historic homes. Entitles, One Hundred Historic Tulsa Homes, it was a best-seller, exhausting the print run in short order. Next came two more books on Tulsa’s historic homes, also best-sellers. He co-authored two books on the historic homes of Ponca City and Kay County. In 2006, Walton received a grant from the Oklahoma State Centennial Commission to write a book celebrating the state’s centennial in 2007 featuring one-hundred pieces of Tulsa’s art work from the public and private sectors and told the history of each piece. Since he had never written about his own architectural career, he was told this book deserved to be written. The Architecture of John Brooks Walton is the third in a trilogy of books on architects and their architecture written by Walton., ISBN13:B004UHSLP0 ISBN10:B004UHSLP0 Material Type:hardcover
