This new, color edition includes 18 color and 107 black & white full-image photographs of the Fort Worth morning activities, the reception at Love Field in Dallas, the motorcade and assassination scene, activity at Parkland Memorial Hospital, the casket arriving back at Air Force One, the swearing-in of Lyndon Johnson as President, activity in and around Dealey Plaza and the Texas School Book Depository following the assassination, activity at the Dallas Trade Mart, Dallas Sheriff and Dallas Police Departments, the showing of Oswald to the press, the Tippit funeral, and the December bail hearing of Jack Ruby.
Also included are the circumstances relating to several later controversial photographs taken by these three photographers, including the Johnson wink photo,; Oswald possibly seen in the Book Depository doorway at the time of the shooting, Ruby in Dealey Plaza at the time of the assassination, activity around the sewer cover in Dealey Plaza just after the shots were fired, and the possible discovery of a second assassin gun. Many of the photographs in this book had never been published before. Photographs also include scenes of Trauma Room Two, Oswald at Parkland Hospital following his shooting, the Impeach Earl Warren sign, and professional portraits of Rev. Oscar Huber, Marguerite Oswald, and Jack Ruby.
