Bohlin developed the styles of equipment gun belts, spurs, saddles, and buckles that helped to dress such film heroes and horses as Hopalong Cassidy and Topper, the Lone Ranger and Silver, and Roy Rogers and Trigger, among others. The chief curator at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage (in Los Angeles) chronicles Bohlin's life, following him from his departure from Sweden as a cabin boy aboard a freighter, to his apprenticeship as a cowboy in Montana, the opening of his first saddle shop in Wyoming, and the growth of his shops in Hollywood. Bohlin's work is showcased in 120 captioned color plates. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or., ISBN13: 9780295976051 ISBN10: 0295976055 Material Type: hardcover
