If you're looking for an introduction to this great Italian Renaissance master, this recording serves the purpose very well, not in the least because it provides an interesting look at the common practice called "parody." This technique involved the composition of a work such as a Mass using thematic material from another source, in this case a motet--Dum Complerentur which is also included at the end of the program.
