This book is created by Jimijae, a group of members who had completed the courses of the Institute of Korean Royal Cuisine.
Jimijae was formed by the late Hye-Seong Hwang, the second holder of the title of Important Intangible Cultural Property, Just like Girohoe, a social meeting group of the king and retired high-rank officials, she wanted to form a group to build fellowship among those who had taken Korean royal cuisine courses.
Starting with only ten members, Jimijae now has over 1,000 members, who are playing a leading role in introducing Korean royal cuisine in diverse fields, Not only Jimijae members have excellent cooking skills but also they have shared their talents despite their age differences, contributing to our society.
As Jimijae attracted more and more members who had studied abroad, it led me to believe that the Institute of Korean Royal Cuisine could contribute to globalizing Korean food. Thanks to Jimijae members' efforts, the institute has offered English cooking classes for foreigners for four and half years.
