Donna Veca, feature writer, and Skip Mazzio, publisher of the Aviation Journal, have written a biography of Bobbi Trout, an early pioneer and contemporary of Amelia Earhart. Their interest in aviation history inspired then to write Just Plane Crazy. With the Asistance of Bobbi Trout and Aviation Historian Carol Osborne, they have chronicled Bobbi's life. The book includes a collection of photographs, newspaper articles, and memorabilia about Bobbi and her aviation friends of the 1920's and 30's, which gives an understanding of early aviation, as lived by a woman. Bobbi at 81, is very active inventing, driving up and down the California coast in her little red Porsche, and thinking how to establish new records. Bobbi Trout is the sole survivor of the 19 women pilots who started in the first "Powder Puff Derby" in August 1929. --- from book's back cover, ISBN13: 9780940997035 ISBN10: 0940997037 Material Type: paperback
