A group of children find a hat and place it on Frosty's head. Frosty laughs and plays with the children until the hot sun threatens to melt him. Frosty says goodbye to the children, reassuring them, "I'll be back again someday." It is generally regarded as a Christmas song, although Christmas itself is never mentioned in the lyrics.
About the author: Annie North Bedford is the pen name of Jane Werner Watson. She was a major contributor of the Golden Books based upon the Walt Disney films. She died in 2004.
About the illustrator: Corinne Malvern (1901 – 1956) was an American commercial artist, active as a fashion advertising artist and illustrator of children's books between the early 1930s and her death in 1956. She painted magazine covers and worked as Art Editor of Ladies' Home Journal magazine. She is best known for her illustrations in the Little Golden Books series, including Heidi, Frosty the Snow Man, The Night Before Christmas, Doctor Dan the Bandage Man, and Nurse Nancy.
