Methven's approach is dignified and thoughtful, inclined more toward plaintive melodies than interminable drones. The contemplative backdrops (dreamy synths, acoustic guitar, gentle, wordless choral passages) that underpin his piping nicely embellish the album's overall sense of serenity and longing.
