For all the changes they've been through, their clean harmonies still recall the choirboy earnestness of '60s folk music. This is fine for campfire sing-alongs like Delaney & Bonnie's "Never Ending Song of Love," though it dilutes the honky-tonk pathos of a country ballad like Adam Mitchell's "Out Among the Stars." Larry Rice sings lead on the more traditional bluegrass-styled tunes, while brother and guitarist Tony Rice and his band take care of the instrumental backing. There's nothing especially new and flashy going on here; just mature musicians with little left to prove doing what they do best. --Rick Mitchell, ISBN13: B00001T3IZ ISBN10: B00001T3IZ Material Type: audioCD
